Time: 30 minutes

Serving: 5 persons

Cuisine: Bengali

Materials:-

  • Flour – 1 cup.
  • Salt – in moderation.
  • Water – in moderation.
  • Black Cumin – 1/4 tsp.
  • White oil – 1 tsp + 2 tbsp + for frying.
  •  Roasted almonds – 2 tsp.
  • Chopped onions – 1 medium size.
  • Whole cumin – 1/4 tsp.
  • Garlic powder – 1/4 tsp.
  • Ginger powder – 1/4 tsp.
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp.
  • Chilli powder – 1/4 tsp.
  • Coriander powder – 1/4 tsp.
  • Maggi Magic Masala – 1 packet.
  • Chopped Raw Chillies – I have chopped 2 whole chilies.
  • Boiled potatoes – 2 medium sizes (I boiled the potatoes and cut them into small cubes).
  • Tomato sauce – 1 bowl (for serving).

Method:-

(1.) First mix flour, salt, black cumin, and white oil in a bowl.

(2.) Now make a dough with little water. Now this dough should be kept covered for 20 minutes.

(3.) On the other hand, heat white oil in a frying pan and add chopped onions, salt, and whole cumin seeds, and fry well. When it turns a little golden brown, add 1/4 cup of water and mix well. When the water boils a little, I mix it well with garlic powder, ginger powder, turmeric powder, green chili powder, coriander powder, and magic masala.

(4.) Grind it well again and add the fried almonds and green chilies. Now add boiled and mashed potatoes to it.

(5.) Mix well again. It should be cooked for 5 minutes. Then I took it down and put it aside. On the other hand, after 20 minutes, the dough should be kneaded a little more.

(6.) And from it shall be cut small lychees. Then the lychees should be cut in half from the middle.

(7.) Then take one part and fold both sides like a singara and put a little water on the edge and make a pocket

I gave it a shape, then filled the potato in the middle and put a little water on the edge, and closed the mouth. All should be made like this.

(8.) After that, I heated white oil in a pan, and when the oil is mildly hot, one by one, fry the singaras until golden brown and turn them upside down. I picked up a tissue paper.

Serving:

Then serve hot with tomato ketchup and mint. Singara will freeze completely with hot tea in the evening.
