Today I will share with you How to grill liver in an oven. It is a very easy recipe and simultaneously very tasty also. The liver is a very good source of calories, fat, sodium, protein, and a little bit of carbohydrate. The liver is packed with nutrients and is relatively contain low in fat ( especially for beef liver) beef liver has lots of health benefits. It may reduce the risk of anemia, risk of vitamin A deficiency, risk of certain cancers, and risk of other diseases, and it’s better for eye health also. But if you have an allergy problem with beef liver you better avoid it. Ok, then let's go to the recipe.


Prepare time: 2 hours and 30 minutes 

Cooking time: 40 minutes 

Total time: 3 hours and 10 minutes

Serving: 3 persons


Ingredients

  • Beef or mutton liver 500 grams
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon mustard oil
  • 1 tablespoon soya sous 
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon mixed garam masala powder 
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seed powder
  • Salt to taste


Method

Making marinade, marinating and grilling liver

Step 1: To make the marinade: Make the juice of the lemon and place in a bowl then add one by one mustard oil, soya sous, ginger paste, garlic paste, mixed garam masala powder, black pepper powder, red pepper flakes, cumin seed powder, and salt as per taste to the bowl and mix all the ingredients well.


Step 2: Wash the liver with hot water and pull off membranes. Then cut it by cube size. After finely clean place in a bowl.


Step 3: Then pour marinade over the liver and mix it well by flipping it several times. Then cover the bowl and keep it in the refrigerator for about 2 hours to chill the liver.


Step 4: After chilling take it off from refrigerator and pierce the livers pieces with a bamboo pin and place it on an oven rack.


Step 5: After piercing, all the livers place into an oven, set the temperature at 180° Celcius, and set the time for 40 minutes. After 40 minutes it will be finely done for serve.


Serve:

Take a big flat place and place grilled liver on it. Then add lemon, mint, onion, and any sous you want, such as barbeque sous. And you can enjoy it with flatbread, paratha, nan, etc.
