  • Hole cumin seed half teaspoon
  • Red chili powder 2 tablespoon
  • Coriander powder 1 tablespoon
  • Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper 1 teaspoon
  • Salt as per taste
  • Roasted cumin seed powder 1 teaspoon
  • Roasted Garam masala powder 1 teaspoon
  • Water 1 ltr

Method

Step 1:
Set a cooking pot on a stove and ignite the stove. Then pour all mustard oil into the pot. When the oil is hot then add chopped onion, cardamom crushed, bay leaf, hole cumin seed,  cinnamon stick, and clove, then fry it until the onion is brown.

Step 2:
When the onion is brown then add one by one garlic paste, ginger paste, cumin seed paste, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, black pepper powder, and salt as per taste, and fry for just 1 mnt. Then add half a cup of water and roast the spices until the oil gets separated from the spices.

Step 3:
Then add beef and stir for 2 minutes. After 2 minutes cover and cook for another 10 minutes. At that stage, beef will release water. So, you don't need to add extra water. After 10 minutes open the cover and stir it well, and cover it again for the next 10 minutes.

Step 4:
After finely roasting the beef and spices add 1 ltr of water then stir well, cover it again for 1 hour and set the stove flame high for 10 minutes. And then set the flame medium-low for the rest of the time. In the 1 hour cooking time check the curry 2 to 3 times.

Step 5:
After 1 hour your curry's water will reduce to the wanted amount, then check the salt. If salt is ok then sprinkle roasted cumin seed powder, and roasted garam masala powder then covers it again for 10 minutes, and set the flame low. After 10 minutes it will be done.

Nots:

Use 5 to 6 small green chili peppers to taste. Be careful when chopping chile peppers.

Serve:

So, finally your beef curry is done. You can serve it with white rice, flatbread, paratha, pulao, etc.

Recipe Tips
Alternatively, you can cook this curry on the hob for 2-3 hours on low heat, or until the beef is very tender.
